Job summary

Hagerty Consulting, Inc. seeks Senior Emergency Management Planners for the Response Cadre to provide on-site support to state and local agencies during disasters. Deployments require 24–72 hour notice and can last 30 days or more across the United States.

This roster will be used for contract-based deployments; the role is not full-time staff. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in emergency management, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in emergency management or a related field.
• 　
• Willing and able to deploy within 24 to 72 hours for travel and remain deployed for at least 30 days anywhere in the United States.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills focused on plans, procedures, and deliverables.
• Flexible, with integrity, teamwork, and commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based on client tempo.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an advisor in the Planning Section utilizing the Incident Command System (ICS).
• Act as a point of contact with partner agencies and Emergency Support Functions for planning initiatives.
• Research, track data, and create reports for client leadership responsible for decision making.
• Provide admin support and coordinate with logistics and operations staff to ensure mission success.
• Develop plans, procedures, and deliverables for clients with strong written and verbal communication.
• Coach and mentor junior staff while deployed on client missions as directed.
