Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, seeks a Lead Mitigation Technician to lead emergency restoration crews on fire, water, mold, and storm incidents. You’ll set safety standards, supervise field teams, and ensure projects meet company and IICRC guidelines.

You will coordinate with the Contents Division, document progress, and communicate with clients and adjusters while maintaining a clean, safe site and proper PPE usage.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Prior experience in restoration, mitigation, or construction.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a crew and manage job site workflow.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mitigation crews on residential and commercial sites.
• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage from fire, water, mold, and weather events.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Develop drying plans and monitor progress to meet moisture goals.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely and efficiently.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Document progress with photos, moisture readings, and notes in PSA and other software.
• Communicate clearly with clients, adjusters, and internal teams.
