Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, is seeking a Lead Mitigation Technician (Crew Chief Level) based in Topsham, ME. You will lead emergency restoration projects for fire, water, mold, sewer, and storm events, setting safety and professional standards while ensuring efficient project execution.

You will manage crews, coordinate with clients and adjusters, and uphold IICRC guidelines, driving rapid recovery for families and businesses.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Proven ability to lead a crew and manage job site workflow.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mitigation crews on residential and commercial job sites.
• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage caused by fire, water, mold, and weather-related events.
• Perform and oversee water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation services in accordance with IICRC standards.
• Develop drying plans and monitor progress to ensure proper equipment placement and moisture goals are met.
• Remove and dispose of damaged building materials safely and efficiently.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected interior spaces.
• Collaborate with the Contents Division to clean, pack, and store salvageable items.
• Document job progress through photos, moisture readings, and detailed notes using PSA and other required software.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
• Ensure proper setup, operation, cleaning, and storage of tools and equipment.
• Train and mentor Mitigation Technicians to uphold quality and safety standards.
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols, including daily documentation of consumables and equipment use.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the team and business.
