Job summary

Fortify Companies’ Insurcomm Restoration unit seeks a Lead Mitigation Technician to supervise emergency response work for fire, water, mold, and storm damage. You’ll lead the crew, uphold safety and professional standards, and ensure efficient project execution on-site in Foxborough, MA.

You will coordinate with clients and adjusters, monitor moisture goals, and use PSA/Encircle/Docusketch for documentation. Field-based role with strong leadership expectations and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Prior restoration, mitigation, or construction experience.
• Ability to lead a crew and manage job site workflow.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong social awareness and customer service mindset.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Navigate Teams and complete onsite documentation using PSA, Encircle, Docusketch.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mitigation crews on residential and commercial job sites.
• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage from fire, water, mold, and weather events.
• Perform and oversee water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Develop drying plans and monitor progress to meet moisture goals.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely and efficiently.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Collaborate with Contents Division to pack and store salvageable items.
• Document job progress with photos, moisture readings, and notes in PSA or required software.
• Communicate clearly with clients, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized job sites; ensure proper tool operation and storage.
• Train and mentor Technicians to uphold safety and quality standards.
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols; document consumables usage.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
