Mayo Clinic in Minnesota invites you to join the Emergency Psychiatric Empath Unit in the Generose building. As a Psychiatric Technician you will support adults and children in acute mental health crises, assisting in assessment, safety, and milieu therapy under RN supervision.

You will lead social activities and help implement individualized care plans to promote recovery. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits program, with flexible scheduling (60-72 hours per pay

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be 21+.
• Experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as mental health or behavioral assistant.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in psychiatric residential and emergency settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living, safety monitoring, and milieu activities.
• Support treatment plans under supervision of registered nurses.
• Lead social activities and group therapies as appropriate.
