Job summary

Generac is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of generators. You will handle emergency/unscheduled repairs, read manuals and schematics, and create reports in FieldServio.

Stay current on NFPA and EPSS regulations, and communicate findings to customers and the service manager. You will conduct equipment commissioning for industrial and MPS products, and provide timely, detailed reports within 24

Qualifications

• Must possess electrical and mechanical knowledge applicable to EPSS and generators.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and work orders for maintenance and repair.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with independent decision-making ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair of generators.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs after hours, weekends, and holidays as directed.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and repairs.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and generator literature for maintenance.
• Detect faulty operations and report issues to the service manager promptly.
• Stay current on NFPA and state regulations for EPSS.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
• Communicate findings by phone, email and in person.
• Conduct equipment commissioning for industrial and MPS products.
