Job summary

Energy Systems is a leading distributor of Generac equipment offering sales, service, and rentals. We seek a Field Service Technician to perform mechanical, electrical and troubleshooting tasks on emergency power supply systems.

Responsibilities include emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, interpreting manuals, and reporting through FieldServio. You will read schematics, commission equipment, and stay compliant with NFPA/state regulations. Valid driver license required.

Qualifications

• 4 years servicing and troubleshooting of Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS).
• Read and interpret operation manuals, electrical schematics, and generator literature.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Generac certification in the air-cooled and protector series courses.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions.
• Valid Driver License and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of generators.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during and after hours as directed.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on generators.
• Read and interpret manuals and schematics for maintenance tasks.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio within 24 hours.
• Communicate findings via phone, email, and in person.
• Conduct equipment commissioning for industrial and MPS products.
• Stay current on NFPA and state regulations for EPSS.
