Job summary

Generac is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair work on emergency power generators.

You will provide after-hours and scheduled maintenance, read manuals and schematics, report issues, stay updated on NFPA and state EPSS regulations, and create reports in FieldServio. A High School Diploma is required and 4 years' experience in EPSS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 4 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS).
• Valid Driver License is required.
• Knowledge of NFPA and state regulations related to EPSS.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and generator repair work.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during and after hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance service and/or repairs.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Detect faults and report issues to service management in a timely manner.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
• Communicate findings via phone, email, or in person.
• Conduct equipment commissioning for industrial and MPS products.
