Clarion County is seeking a Homeland Security Planning Officer to supervise, coordinate, and administer emergency management planning activities. The role develops and maintains emergency plans, policies, and response strategies with strict confidentiality.

The position requires collaboration with local governments and first responders, managing SHSAS implementation and incident planning across all-hazards scenarios. Evening meetings and on-call duties are expected as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years documented instruction experience in the Emergency Services Field; Public Safety experience preferred.
• Current Basic Certification Level for Municipal Emergency Management Coordinators as outlined in the PEMA Directive D2003-3; Emergency Management Training and Education as outlined in the same directive.

Aufgaben

• Implement and maintain the SHSAS.
• Assist local governments, first responders, critical facilities and task forces with planning for incidents.
• Develop and maintain Emergency Operations Plans and Hazard Mitigation Plans.
• Coordinate and assist in development of County Animal Response Team and other All Hazards plans.
• Attend meetings, perform after-hours calls, and support the Director of Public Safety.
