Job summary

County Of Clarion seeks a Homeland Security Planning Officer to supervise and coordinate planning activities in emergency management. The role develops, implements, and maintains emergency plans and policies while upholding confidentiality.

The position reports to the EMA Coordinator and may require evening meetings and occasional on-call duties. Competitive benefits are offered, including health coverage options and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three years documented instruction experience in the Emergency Services Field; Public Safety experience preferred.
• Current Basic Certification Level for Municipal Emergency Management Coordinators and related Emergency Planning courses.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain emergency plans and policies.
• Supervise and coordinate planning activities in emergency management.
• Assist local governments, first responders, and critical facilities with planning for incidents.
• Maintain and update the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and related hazard analyses.
• Prepare correspondence and memos; assist the Director of Public Safety.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and on-call duties as required.
