Job summary

Hancock County 911 is seeking a Public Safety Systems Program Manager to plan, coordinate, and maintain critical public safety communications infrastructure across the county. The role serves as the main liaison between Hancock County 911, County IT, public safety agencies, vendors, and partners, ensuring system reliability and readiness.

The position requires management of radios, CAD/RMS, and related platforms, with on-call responsibilities and potential for extended hours during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Requires citizenship and at least 21 years old.
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with public safety communications technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison for public safety agencies and vendors.
• Manage and maintain public safety radio communications systems.
• Support operational readiness and maintenance of mission-critical systems.
• Coordinate with CAD, RMS, and other safety platforms.
• Oversee equipment like Mobile Data Computers and consoles.
• Assist with infrastructure projects and security systems.
