Job summary

Stokes is seeking a part-time Emergency Planning Coordinator to contribute to local emergency response planning for biological, chemical, radiological or natural events. You will coordinate with local agencies to support preparedness activities and regional surveillance efforts.

This role involves developing and maintaining emergency plans and exercises with partners such as Emergency Management, Sheriff's Department, EMS and schools.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in public service administration or related field, preferably with coursework in human service planning.
• Or graduation from four-year college and two years of admin or consultative experience in a human service program.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in local emergency response planning efforts including Biological, Chemical, Radiological or Natural events.
• Coordinate with local entities on local preparedness activities.
• Coordinate surveillance and emergency response efforts at the regional and state level.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans and exercises with local and regional partners.

Coordinate surveillance and emergency response efforts at the regional and state level. Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans and exercises in coordination with local and regional partners. Maximum 20 hours per week. Requirements

Must have a four-year degree in public service administration, psychology, sociology, or social work or a human service programmatic field, preferably with coursework in human service planning; or graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of administrative or consultative experience in a human service program; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
