911 Emergency Communications in West Newfield, ME is seeking Emergency Medical Dispatchers to help coordinate urgent medical responses. You will gather caller information, establish priorities, and guide EMS resources according to approved protocols.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and certification as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher where applicable. Shifts may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• CPR certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities
