Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Coord Emergency Management in Florida to support the comprehensive emergency management program across mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities. You will develop and coordinate response services to ensure business continuity during emergencies and lead planning efforts, training, and exercises.

The role requires collaboration with local government, first responders, and community partners, and involves leading critical incident management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college/university.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Emergency Management or related field (e.g., Homeland Security, Public Health).
• Must acquire a Florida Associate Emergency Manager (FAEM) or AEM certification within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain all-hazards emergency plans, SOPs, training materials, and assignments.
• Lead emergency activations and coordinate operations during incidents.
• Manage inventory, deployment, and procurement of emergency resources and equipment.
• Promote preparedness and build partnerships with weather organizations and industry groups.
• Develop training programs, conduct exercises, and ensure ICS/NIMS compliance.
