Job summary

Tampa Electric Co. is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Planning to lead the development, coordination, and execution of budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting across one or more business units in Florida.

You will provide strategic financial insight, ensure accurate reporting, and influence cost management outcomes. You will supervise the Business Planning team, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Accounting, Tax, Operations, and Regulatory partners to align financial plans

Qualifications

8 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and/or financial planning.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and regulatory accounting.
Ability to lead complex financial processes and communicate recommendations to management.
Experience with cost tracking, close-out, and variance analyses.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting: oversee monthly financial and operational results, closeout, variances, and reporting to senior management.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning: manage annual and long-term budgets; develop forecasts and scenario analyses.
Cost Accounting & Compliance: guide cost tracking, intercompany allocations, and SOX/GAAP compliance.
People Leadership: coach and develop Business Planning staff and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Regulatory Cost Recovery support: assist with cost recovery filings and regulatory submissions.
