Job summary

The Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Mgr Training - Energy Supply to lead the enterprise-wide workforce development program, including craft skills, professional and leadership development, and safety-focused training.

You will partner with SMEs to identify competency needs, design training and qualification programs, oversee procedure management, and ensure teams at all levels have the knowledge and behaviors to perform safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field; in lieu, 2 extra years with Associate's or 4 extra years with HS.
• 8 years of experience in Training, Leadership Development, and/or Education; 3 years in procedure/training development roles.
• Preferred: 2 years ISD program development experience in a utility operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate craft skills, technical, and operational training and assessments across Energy Supply.
• Develop and manage professional workforce development programs including onboarding, technical competency, leadership development, project management, and continuing education.
• Lead the procedure management program including development, approval, document control, hierarchy, and safe work practices.
• Provide governance of procedure management, conduct routine reviews and audits for adherence and accuracy.
• Prepare, review, and implement new procedures and training for capital projects and turnover to owners.
• Oversee hands-on skills training to ensure proper tools, equipment, and techniques are used safely and efficiently.
