CHRISTUS Health in Longview, TX seeks a competent nurse for the Emergency and other clinical settings. The role requires independent practice, appropriate delegation, and adherence to patient treatment plans.

You will provide routine and complex care, document and monitor treatments, and educate patients and families. Requires RN license with relevant certifications, and experience in ED and other units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Minimum 2 years combined Emergency Department and another specialty.
• 5 years experience preferred.
• RN license in state of employment or compact license.
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC (TX/NM) and PALS within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors effects.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications and care provided.
• Educates patients and families and supports learning needs.
• Leads and delegates within the unit to manage clinical situations.
