Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Security Dispatcher to receive calls, dispatch security staff, and log incidents to safeguard patients and staff. Strong communication, adherence to procedures, and timely escalation are essential.

You will monitor alarm panels, document events in the CAD system and Security Communications database, and coordinate with law enforcement or fire services as needed. A High School diploma and dispatch experience are preferred, APCO certification a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 Year Dispatch Center experience preferred.
• APCO Certification Preferred.
• Must be able to speak in a clear concise manner.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork.
• Dispatches Security personnel to scenes as requested by customers to ensure prompt response.
• Receives calls via Radio or Phone and follows protocols and checklists for effective emergency response.
• Transmits accurate information to personnel and prioritizes emergencies.
• Monitors alarms and ensures prompt response; documents events in the CAD system and Security Communications database.
