Job summary

The City of Maypearl is seeking a Police Dispatcher to provide rapid response by handling emergency and non-emergency lines at the Police Station. You will gather critical details, determine needed responses, and relay information to officers and EMS personnel.

Responsibilities include updating CAD, TCIC/NCIC/TLETS databases, and ensuring accurate data entry for alarm permits and inquiries from other agencies. Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of police emergency response practices and procedures.
• Familiarity with TCIC/NCIC and TLETS/NLETS rules and CJIS requirements.
• Experience with computer aided dispatch and related databases.
• Ability to type/data entry and maintain records accurately.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays as needed.
• Two years data entry or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency lines at the Police Station.
• Gather info on nature, severity, location and status of emergencies.
• Assess response needs and dispatch services accordingly.
• Relay information to Officers and Fire/EMS personnel.
• Enter and maintain CAD data for alarms and alerts.
• Research inquiries from other agencies and departments.
• Ensure regular attendance and ability to work various shifts.
