Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking a firefighter/paramedic to protect lives and property within the community. You will respond to fire alarms, EMS calls, perform fire suppression, rescue, and patient care, and operate and maintain equipment.

The role involves inspections of hydrants and facilities, training participation, and occasional driving of fire apparatus or ambulance. It requires staying physically fit and able to work long shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Texas Class B Driver's License.
• Active Paramedic certification.
• Active Basic Firefighter Certification.

Responsibilities

• Responds to fire alarms, EMS calls and other emergencies.
• Performs fire suppression, rescue, hose deployment and ventilation.
• Administers first aid and EMS to injured persons.
• Maintains apparatus, equipment, quarters and grounds.
• Participates in training and drills; conducts safety reviews.
• Relieves driver, lieutenant or captain when needed.
• Operates ambulance or drives fire apparatus as required.
• Conducts station tours and supports community safety activities.
