Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is hiring an ED Tech to assist in the clinical aspects of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role requires EMT certification or nursing students with acute care clinical rotations, or equivalent experience in patient care tech roles.

Successful candidates will hold BCLS/CPR certification and be capable of providing care to the age-specific population served.

Qualifications

• Georgia EMT certification or National Registry EMT/Intermediate required, or nursing student with acute care rotations required.
• In lieu of EMT license, 2 years of patient care tech or ER tech experience required.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
