Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an ED Tech to support the clinical team under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with basic care and monitor patients, addressing age-specific needs in a fast-paced ED environment.

The role requires current Georgia EMT certification or National Registry/Intermediate Level, or an active nursing student with clinical rotations, or equivalency in patient-care experience, plus BLS at hire. On-site location with Piedmont Columbus Midtown.

Qualifications

• Georgia EMT Certification (BLS) or National Registry/Intermediate Level certification required.
• Student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical rotation in an acute care hospital required.
• Alternative: 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience in lieu of EMT license required.

Responsibilities

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
