Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking an ED Tech to support clinical care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. You will provide age-appropriate patient care and work as part of the health care team.

Ideal candidates include individuals with EMT certification or active nursing students, and those with prior patient care or ER tech experience. BLS certification on hire is required.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or NREMT/Intermediate Certification required.
• Nursing student with at least 1 semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital required.
• In lieu of EMT license, 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical patient care under RN or LPN supervision.
• Provide care to the age-specific population assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
