Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside in Georgia is seeking an ED Tech to assist with clinical patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. The role focuses on supporting the emergency department team and delivering age-appropriate care.

Requirements include current Georgia EMT certification or NREMT intermediate, nursing student with clinical rotations, or acceptable substitution of EMT license. BLS CPR is required. This is a fast-paced environment offering meaningful patient interaction.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia EMT Certification or NREMT Intermediate certification required.
• Nursing student with at least 1 clinical rotation in acute care required.
• In lieu of EMT license, 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience may be acceptable.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon hire.

Qualifications

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required
