Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside in Columbus, GA is seeking an ED Tech to assist in clinical patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role requires ability to provide care to the age-specific population assigned.

Candidates must have current Georgia EMT certification or National Registry/Intermediate certification, or be a nursing student with at least one semester of acute care clinical rotations, or have 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech

Qualifications

• Requires current Georgia EMT certification or National Registry/Intermediate certification, or enrollment in an accredited nursing program with at least one semester of clinical rotations.
• OR two years of patient care tech/ER tech experience in lieu of EMT certification.
• BCLS CPR card required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the clinical aspects of patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide care to the age-specific patient populations as assigned.
• Collaborate with the health care team to support ED operations.

Qualifications
Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required
