Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to support the clinical team under RN/LPN supervision and assist with patient care across age groups.

The ideal candidate holds a Georgia EMT certification or NREMT/Intermediate, or is a nursing student with acute care clinical rotations. A minimum of 2 years of patient care/ER tech experience may qualify in lieu of EMT; BLS is required at hire.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or NREMT/Intermediate certification required.
• Student in accredited nursing program with at least 1 semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital required.
• In lieu of EMT, 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• ED Tech participates in clinical patient care under the supervision of RN or LPN.
• Provide care to the age-specific population for assigned patients.

Responsibilities

The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Possess the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age specific population to which assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
