Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an Emergency Department RN with at least 2 years of ED experience. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The role involves direct patient care, triage, and occasional managerial duties in a full-time schedule within a 170-bed hospital near Reno.

Qualifications include an active RN license in-state, BCLS, ACLS within 6 months, and PALS within 6 months. TNCC/ENPC are optional. Learn more about UHS and its benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license within state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire.
• PALS within six (6) months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain and educate patient and family regarding pain management.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients.
