• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with billing issues to prevent claim problems.
• Communicate with insurers and Michigan Medicine departments to resolve issues.
• Assist with Medicaid or other programs and connect patients to financial counseling.
• Explain patient balances and collect payments; provide MyUofMHealth portal support.
• Use Lean principles to improve processes and maintain data integrity.
