Job summary

You will enter demographic and financial data in the EMR precisely, greet patients warmly, collect required information, explain steps, collect copays, and ensure compliance with hospital and Meaningful Use guidelines. The role is on-site with variable daily hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in a customer service role or health care industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of EMR systems and basic computer tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Greet customers promptly with a warm and friendly reception.
• Collect and document required demographic and financial information.
• Direct patients to appropriate setting and explain steps clearly.
• Maintain professionalism and comply with department policies.
• Estimate and collect copays, deductibles, and other obligations.
• Ensure compliance with hospital guidelines and Meaningful Use requirements.
• Facilitate use of electronic registration tools when available.
• Perform additional duties as needed by management.
