Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico is seeking a Nursing Tech III for Lincoln County Medical Center's Emergency Department. The role includes advanced patient care tasks, IV therapy initiation, phlebotomy, wound care and patient teaching under licensed supervision.

PRN, varied days and hours, on-site at our NM facility. The ideal candidate has HS diploma or vocational training in medical/surgical care, 6 months of patient care experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent plus trade or vocational school in medical/surgical patient care.
• 6 months patient care experience required.
• One to three years experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)
• BLS required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patients and collects information for documentation in patient record.
• Inserts and removes peripheral IV lines under the direction of a licensed Provider; performs phlebotomy.
• Performs wound care and dressing changes; prepares patients for surgery.
• Coordinates and maintains sterile processing and equipment.
• Transports specimens to Laboratory and delivers to Radiology; assists with daily living activities.
• Assists with oxygen administration and sterile procedures.
