Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Nursing Technician for the 24/7 Urgent and Emergency Care unit at Coors in Albuquerque. The role performs patient care procedures under RN direction, collects data for the patient record and supports unit operations with bedside testing and monitoring.

The position requires high school completion, BLS, and hospital/long-term care exposure; nursing students with clinical lab completion are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Nursing student who has completed a basic clinical skills lab preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant or military equivalent; or at least 6 months hospital or long-term care experience in a similar role.
• BLS Required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and records vital signs, weights, and patient data in the chart.
• Transports patients and documents actions in patient records.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient setup/feeding.
• Rounds on patients and families to address needs or concerns.
• Inserts and removes gastric and urethral tubes; performs enemas and disimpactions.
• Operates monitoring systems (cardiac/fetal) and performs bedside tests (ECG, glucometer, urinalysis).

Education

High School Graduate or equivalent
