Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Nursing Tech III for the Lincoln County Medical Center Emergency Department. The role performs advanced patient care procedures under supervision, including IV therapy initiation, wound care, phlebotomy and bedside testing, while coordinating equipment and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent plus trade or vocational school in medical/surgical patient care.
• 6 months patient care experience required. One to three years experience preferred.
• Receives on-the-job training and competency verification to perform primary functions.
• Microsoft Office Skills
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)
• BLS required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patients and collects information for documentation in the patient record.
• Inserts and removes IV therapy lines and performs phlebotomy; collects samples.
• Performs wound care and dressing changes; prepares patients for surgery; assists with various bedside procedures.
• Coordinates and maintains equipment and sterile processing systems.
• Operates patient monitoring systems as needed; uses PACIS for charting and unit secretary duties if required.
• Ensures cleanliness and stocks supplies; maintains equipment logs.
