Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Nursing Tech III for a PRN position in New Mexico. The role involves advanced patient care procedures under supervision, including IV therapy, wound care, and specimen transport.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent plus trade or vocational school in medical/surgical patient care.
• 6 months patient care experience required. One to three years experience preferred.
• Receives on-the-job training and competency verification to perform primary functions.
• Microsoft Office Skills
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)
• BLS required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patients and collects information for documentation in patient records.
• Inserts and removes non-medicated IV lines under a licensed provider's direction.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects samples from central lines.
• Performs wound care and dressing changes; assists with basic procedures.
• Coordinates and maintains equipment and sterile processing systems.
• Delivers specimens to Laboratory and transports x-rays and equipment.
