Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Nursing Tech for the PRESNow 24/7 Urgent and Emergency Care - Isleta unit in Albuquerque. The role performs patient care procedures under a licensed nurse and may include phlebotomy, wound care, tube insertion and bedside testing, while monitoring patients and documenting in the electronic chart.

The position emphasizes bedside care, patient safety, and collaboration with nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent education.
• Nursing student who has completed a basic clinical skills lab preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or military equivalent; or at least 6 months hospital or long-term care experience in a similar role.
• BLS Required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, collects and records information in the patient record.
• Records vital signs, weights and other patient data.
• Transports patients and documents actions in the patient record.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient set-up.
• Performs gastric and urethral tube insertion and related care.
• Operates patient monitoring systems and performs bedside testing.
