Job summary

Community Health Systems' Foley location is seeking a Director of Free Standing Emergency Department to provide strategic leadership, ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, and oversee staffing, compliance, and education in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with medical and nursing leadership to improve throughput, monitor performance metrics, and drive quality improvement initiatives while promoting a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, or 7+ years of leadership experience in lieu.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience with Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with medical staff to improve care coordination and patient flow.
• Monitor performance metrics such as length of stay and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and oversee accreditation processes.
• Develop staffing plans and mentor department staff.
