Job summary

Baldwin Health seeks a Director of the Free Standing Emergency Department to provide strategic leadership and oversee operations, staffing, and education to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

The role ensures regulatory compliance, drives quality improvement, and partners with leadership to align resources and performance with organizational goals while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or seven+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a closely related field with a Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with medical staff and leadership to improve care coordination and patient experience.
• Monitor departmental performance metrics (LOS, LWBS, door-to-provider times, patient satisfaction).
• Ensure readiness for regulatory, accreditation and compliance requirements.
• Direct emergency preparedness planning and involvement in disaster response.
