Job summary

Community Medical Center seeks an experienced Director of Emergency Department to lead our ED operations and ensure high-quality patient care. You will oversee staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation across multiple departments to support two hospitals.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Nursing, with a Master's preferred, and at least 3+ years in emergency services with leadership experience. ACLS and PALS/ENPC are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in emergency services required.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS or ENPC required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ED operations and patient care quality.

Job description

Community Medical Center looking to bring on Director Emergency Department! Bonus Incentive Program and Relocation!

Assures service, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation and management controls to ensure consistent high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department. Provides oversight to ancillary departments such as Imaging, Lab, Admitting, Security, Environmental Services, and Support Services.

• Reason for opening: incumbent took a division role.
• Will eventually be a total of 7 FSEDS
• Supporting 2 executive teams (2 hospitals)
• Reports to ACNO
• Lots of opportunity for growth and supporting 2 hospitals – unique position
• Volume varies – some are 53 a day, highest is 65.
• Point of care lab: nurses do lab testing – no lab in house;
• Employee engagement and patient satisfaction is good
• 3 managers in total
• Need ED Director experience – FSED experience preferred. Will consider a strong Manager with strong job tenure and large acute care facility experience
