Job summary

South Baldwin Medical Group is seeking a Director of the Free Standing Emergency Department to provide strategic leadership and oversee clinical practice, staffing, and education in a fast-paced setting.

The role drives quality improvement, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with hospital leadership to ensure readiness for accreditation and mass casualty events. Strong leadership and collaboration across departments are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or seven (7) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
• Master's Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required
• 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Emergency Department, ensuring delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
• Collaborates with medical staff, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to improve care coordination and patient experience
• Monitors departmental performance metrics and identifies trends to drive improvement
• Partners with hospital leadership to ensure readiness for regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements
• Directs emergency preparedness planning and participates in disaster response coordination
• Responds to patient care concerns and operational disruptions with effective resolutions
