Job summary

Community Hospital Corporation seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN to deliver high-quality, cost-conscious patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will coordinate age-specific care, consult with ED staff and the CNO, and participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance safety and outcomes.

This role requires leadership to manage staffing, triage, pain management, and timely admissions, with a strong emphasis on adherence to nursing standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; baccalaureate degree or current enrollment in a program.
• Current state Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Texas is required.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required; ability to obtain ACLS and PALS as needed.

Responsibilities

• Staffing and scheduling the department to align with patient volume and acuity.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and delivers age-appropriate care.
• Coordinates triage to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
• Monitors patient status, interprets clinical findings, and administers medications per policy.
• Collaborates with ED physicians, staff, and CNO on nursing problems and policy interpretation.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and quality/safety initiatives.
