Job summary

Northeast Regional Medical Center seeks a Director of the Emergency Department to provide strategic leadership and oversight in a fast-paced ED environment. You will oversee clinical practice, staffing, education, and regulatory compliance, driving quality improvement and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include collaborating with medical and nursing leadership, monitoring key metrics, and ensuring readiness for regulatory and accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or seven-plus years of direct experience in lieu of degree.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with medical staff and leadership to improve care coordination and patient experience.
• Monitor performance metrics (length of stay, door-to-provider times, patient satisfaction) and drive improvements.
• Ensure readiness for regulatory/accreditation processes and compliance requirements.
• Oversee staffing, professional development, and staff evaluations.
