Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Adult ED. You will work under RN supervision delivering direct clinical and support services in a patient-centered model, supporting staff and families across shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, current BLS/CPR, and the ability to pass competency testing. Prior ED/clinical exposure is preferred, and a strong teamwork mindset is essential for our Magnet® recognized facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification and CPR current or within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• Experience as ED Technician/ CNA/ PCA/ MA or EMT or nursing program rotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions for ED patients and families.
• Obtain vital signs, assist with hygiene, dressing wounds, and emotional support.
• Maintain a safe, clean ED environment and ensure adequate supplies.
• Contribute to efficient ED operations and quality patient outcomes.
