Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) invites you to join our Magnet-recognized team as an Emergency Department Technician in the Adult ED. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct clinical and support services to patients and families, contributing to high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

The ED handles over 130,000 visits annually; we emphasize professional development and a supportive work culture. Schedule: 24 hours (dayshift/every other weekend).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current or within 30 days of employment: BLS and CPR certification.
• Pass clinical competency testing and meet physical requirements.
• One year of ED tech/CNA/MA experience or related training, or nursing program enrollment with rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated patient care interventions in the ED.
• Assist with vital signs, bathing, feeding, wound care, hygiene, and emotional support.
• Maintain a safe, clean ED environment and manage inventory as needed.
• Support efficient ED operations and positive patient/family outcomes.
