Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED setting. The position requires working 3p–3a with every third weekend rotation, 36 hours per week and 0.9 FTE, with compensation in the hourly range specified.

Responsibilities include patient monitoring, data collection within certification scope, and assisting the ED team under RN/Physician direction. EMR documentation and safety protocols are essential on every shift.

Qualifications

• Required EMT license (or EMT-B with 1+ year experience).
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• CERT Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Collect pertinent data within certification scope and report to RN/physician.
• Administer treatments and procedures per physician orders.
• Monitor vital signs, ECGs, oxygen, and IVs; assist with patient care and safety.
• Perform data collection and wound care as appropriate.
