Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join the team in Winfield, IL. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week with a 7a–3p shift and every third weekend rotation, in a fast-paced ED environment.

The role requires EMT licensure with BLS certification, High School diploma, and experience in patient care. ACLs or PALS preferred; background checks and compliance with hospital policies apply.

Qualifications

• Current EMT P license without restrictions or EMT B within at least one (1) year relative experience in a similar capacity; including, but not limited to: Military experience, private ambulance company, fire department or healthcare setting
• High School graduate or equivalent
• CERT Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within defined scope of responsibilities and monitor patients
• Assist with data collection and report clinical findings to the RN and physician
• Administer treatments and various procedures (within scope) and assist with IVs, wound care, and related tasks as directed
