Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Emergency Department seeks an Emergency Department Technician to deliver patient care under RN and physician supervision. You will monitor patients, assist with treatments, perform basic procedures, and support a fast-paced ED team.

The role requires EMT certification (EMT-P preferred) or EMT-B with relevant experience, plus BLS. ACLS/PALS are a plus, with comprehensive benefits and running shifts starting in the late afternoon to night.

Qualifications

• Current EMT license (EMT-P preferred) or EMT-B with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• CERT Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within defined scope; monitor, observe and perform treatments as ordered; report findings to RN/Physician.
• Assist with data collection, vital signs, ECG monitoring, oxygen delivery, wound care and basic procedures.
• Support nursing staff and maintain patient safety, cleanliness and comfort.
