Job summary

Guthrie's Emergency Department seeks an Emergency Services Technician II (Per Diem) to provide direct patient care, assist with diagnostics, and transport in a fast-paced ED. This role supports nurses and providers to ensure efficient patient throughput and a high-quality patient experience.

Required are a High School Diploma/GED, BLS certification, and strong customer service skills; EMT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required; EMT or EMT-Paramedic preferred.
• Previous healthcare/Pt care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocks and organizes ED supplies and equipment.
• Transports patients into and out of the ED.
• Measures and documents vital signs accurately.
• Provides information and support to patients and families awaiting care or test results.
• Alerts RN/Charge Nurse to changes in patient condition or safety concerns.
• Performs phlebotomy and EKGs as ordered; supports trauma activations.
