Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide rapid assessments, urgent interventions, and high‑quality care in a high‑acuity environment.

You will supervise care according to policies, procedures, and the North Dakota Nurse Practice Act, delivering patient care under pressure with professionalism. The role requires 2–3 years of ED experience, ND state RN licensure (or compact state), BLS certification, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an approved school.
• Active RN license in good standing (ND or compact state).
• BLS certification within orientation period and recertification as required.
• Strong communication with patients, families, staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessments and interventions in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and paramedics to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow‑up.
• Maintain readiness for mass casualty and rapid response scenarios.
