Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in North Dakota to deliver rapid, high-quality care in a high-acuity setting. You will perform rapid assessments, initiate urgent interventions, and monitor responses while complying with hospital and state standards.

You will collaborate with physicians, specialists, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow, educate families on care plans, and participate in continuous improvement of ED operations.

Qualifications

• Nursing Degree from an approved school of nursing.
• 2-3 Years Of Experience In Emergency Department Nursing.
• Active RN license in good standing with the North Dakota Board of Nursing or in a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during orientation and recertification as required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid nursing assessments and evaluations for urgent and emergent conditions.
• Implement and manage care plans with emergency procedures and medication administration.
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics and staff to coordinate patient flow.
• Educate patients and families on immediate care, discharge instructions and follow-up.
• Maintain readiness for mass casualty events and rapid response activations.
• Adhere to safety, infection control and documentation standards.
