Job summary

Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department. The RN coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, following established nursing models and the facility's standards.

You will advocate for patients and families while driving quality outcomes. Responsibilities include pain assessment, timely documentation, patient education, and proactive care.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS must be obtained within specified timelines.
• TNCC, PALS/ENPC required within defined timeframes.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience in a clinical setting.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in ED setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to implement care plans.
• Assess pain, perform procedures, and document care in medical records.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
• Advocate for patients and contribute to improved departmental outcomes.
