• Assessment/Diagnosis – perform initial and ongoing health status assessments
• Outcomes Identification/Planning – document planned nursing interventions to meet patient needs
• Implementation/Evaluation – evaluate responses to care and revise plan with the team
• Leadership – participate in process improvement for quality, safety, and efficiency
• Operations – handle daily department operations as part of the team
